San-iT employee engagement survey 2022

Ever since we set up San-iT in 2007, we’ve always believed that a ‘people first’ approach means a happy team and happy clients.

This is because we recognise that an engaged and happy team is a more productive and motivated team. This ultimately results in happier clients.

Therefore, we run regular employee engagement surveys. It allows us to gauge our efforts and continually ensure that we are getting things right.

Our latest survey delivered some hugely encouraging results, despite another turbulent year globally.

To ensure clarity and consistency, we score our surveys in a similar fashion to the Net Promoter Score System. Each member of the team is given a survey, and asked to rank their experience between 1-10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.

A score of 6 or below signifies an employee is not engaged, 7 denotes partial engagement, and scores of between 8-10 denotes engaged and super-engaged.

We are pleased with our results, and happy to share them with you.

Enjoyment at work and job satisfaction:

We are really pleased that our team members not only feel proud to work for the company (9.00), but that they also feel valued in their role (9.21) and feel encouraged to innovate (9.21). We’re also really happy to note that our team not only like working at San-iT, but that they also enjoy working with their colleagues (9.42).

Wellbeing, progression and training:

Staff wellbeing is something that is hugely important to us, which is why we run regular staff socials, annual wellbeing weeks and staff socials. We also offer ‘Sanity Days’, where staff members have the ability to take two days away from the business each year to learn something new, volunteer or participate in activities that boost their mental health.

We are always looking at new initiatives to support the wellbeing of our team, and we are delighted that our team feel that we are.

Our team believes that as a company we are committed to supporting their work/life balance (9.37) and believe that we are committed to supporting their health and wellbeing (9.63).

They also believe that the company is considerate of family situations (9.84), and that if they have a personal issue, senior management are sympathetic and keen to help.

Purpose and values:

Our purpose and values are what drive us on a day-to-day basis. Purpose is about what we do, and values are the beliefs we feel are fundamental to achieving that purpose. Once again, we are really pleased to see that our team have really bought into both and believe that we practice what we preach.

Our team are committed to delivering outstanding customer service (9.16) and are also committed to helping our clients work smarter, operate safer and think bigger through technology (9.05).

They also trust us to behave in ways that are true to our people first values (9.63) and behave in ways that are true to our value of having no egos (9.32), and that we embrace change (9.32).

Inclusion at work:

We are always working hard to foster an inclusive environment, and this year we have developed, and are developing, several initiatives to ensure our team feel that they feel supported, included, and heard. We are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer, and we have also signed up to the Microsoft Partner Pledge, which aims  to empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more.

Therefore, it’s great to see from this year’s set of results that our employees feel that we take inclusion seriously. From our survey we found that our employees feel that they are treated fairly at work (9.79), feel that we value diverse opinions and ideas (9.74), and that they feel like they can achieve success as their authentic selves (9.79).

Whilst these results are excellent, we won’t be resting on our laurels. Employee engagement and support is an ongoing process, and one which we will continue to work to improve upon.

Our people are our most valuable asset, and we are delighted that they feel happy and supported here at San-iT.
