Terry, Managed Services Engineer

I joined San-iT in 2018 as an apprentice and now work as a Managed Services Engineer.

I love working with people and I love IT, so this is the perfect role for me! I’ve had a strong interest in IT since a very young age and like being able to share my knowledge and help other people out.

Day to day, I’m either completing on-site visits, or assisting customers with their queries remotely. My main area of expertise is my extensive knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, and also Windows operating systems and Office 365.

I’m a hardworking member of the team – always willing to lend a hand with any task or with helping and training other colleagues. I will make the time to help out no matter how busy I am! I’m friendly and happy, so enjoy the part of my job that means I’m out visiting and speaking to customers. I always want to know they are satisfied a job has been done well, and will assist them in whatever way I can. Although I understand complex technology problems, I’ll explain issues to customers in a way they can understand, without the technical jargon.

Outside work, family is the most important thing, having got married in September 2020. My lovely wife supports me in everything I do. Away from family and work, I am a lead guitarist and vocalist in a small rock covers band from my hometown of Atherton (near Wigan, which explains the accent!). I also have a strong passion for Japanese cars from the 90’s and early 00’s and I am currently building a Honda Civic track car.

I am also a keen gamer and technology enthusiast and always keeping up with the latest developments in PC hardware, which I think comes with the job!
