Jess, Managed Services Engineer

My name is Jess, and I work for San-iT as a Managed Services Engineer. I have worked in IT for about 4 years, starting out as an apprentice at another managed services company before joining San-iT earlier this year.

My responsibilities as a Managed Services Engineer are incredibly exciting and varied. My day-to-day responsibilities cover everything from answering customer queries on the phone to onsite visits. I find it really rewarding when I help our clients, whether it’s troubleshooting, patching, configuring new devices or supporting them during office moves. I’m good at communicating with people and making the complicated simple, tailoring my approach to differing knowledge levels whilst always providing the best level of service.

The team here at San-iT are very friendly and supportive. It can be very impersonal at larger businesses, and the personal touch at San-iT allows me to build great relationships with clients and my team alike.

Outside of work I love reading books about politics and history, and I really enjoy going for walks around the Peak District and getting plenty of fresh air!
